Toulouse and its region are positioning themselves as a major hub for innovation in Greentech and Cleantech, bringing together a rich ecosystem of clusters and competitiveness clusters dedicated to renewable energies, energy transition, sustainable building, smart grids and water management.

These structures bring together companies, research laboratories, universities, local authorities and institutional players to stimulate cooperation, accelerate technology transfer and promote the commercialisation of innovative solutions.

Toulouse : un hub incontournable de la transition écologique

Thanks to its regional roots, Toulouse is becoming a key hub for projects related to ecological transition, energy efficiency and clean technologies, offering international investors and partners an environment conducive to the development of sustainable and competitive solutions.

Derbi-Cémater cluster

In early June 2025, the 80 members of Cémater joined the 224 members of the DERBI Cluster.
This new competitiveness cluster brings together companies, laboratories, universities, training centres, professional federations, financial organisations and local authorities.

Its objective is to accelerate the emergence and commercialisation of innovative products and services in the renewable energy, sustainable building and smart grid sectors.

Aqua-Valley

Aqua-Valley brings together a network of 230 members (large companies, mid-sized companies, SMEs/VSEs, research and training organisations, associations) mainly located in the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions. Their skills and expertise cover all water-related professions and the entire water cycle.

Envirobat Occitanie

This regional professional association is dedicated to energy and ecological transition in sustainable construction and development. It brings together more than 320 members, including companies, local authorities, design offices and training centres, spread between Montpellier and Toulouse.

The aim of this association is to support projects through initiatives such as Bâtiments Durables Occitanie (BDO) and Quartiers Durables Occitanie (QDO), to offer Qualiopi-certified training courses, to run regional observatories and to organise events to share best practices and strengthen the skills of professionals.
