Toulouse at the heart of the hydrogen aviation revolution

A global pioneer in hydrogen aviation and autonomous flight technologies, Singapore-based group H3 Dynamics chose Toulouse in 2021 as the location for its European laboratory. This decision confirms the city’s position as the European capital of aeronautics and energy innovation.

A global vision for carbon-free aviation

Founded in Singapore, H3 Dynamics’ mission is to accelerate the transition to cleaner and more autonomous aviation. The company develops solutions ranging from aerial data capture to freight delivery and passenger transport.
Its speciality: electric-hydrogen propulsion systems and high-performance hydrogen drones, the result of more than 15 years of expertise in the integration of fuel cells for aeronautics.

Why Toulouse?

When H3 Dynamics considered expanding internationally, several locations were in contention, including Paris and Vélizy. Ultimately, Toulouse won out for several decisive reasons:

A unique aeronautical ecosystem: Airbus, ATR, Daher, a multitude of subcontractors and the Aerospace Valley cluster, all located in Occitanie.
An ambitious hydrogen strategy: the Occitanie Region has made hydrogen a major focus of development, with a €150 million plan and the creation of the Hydrogen Technocampus in Francazal, a future centre of excellence in Europe.
Large-scale collaborative projects: such as the Drone Mermoz, developed with ISAE-Supaero, an electric-hydrogen drone capable of crossing the South Atlantic.

Support from Toulouse Team – Invest

H3 Dynamics benefited from coordinated support from Business France, AD’OCC and Toulouse Team – Invest. Together, these players facilitated contacts with companies, laboratories and schools in Toulouse.

In particular, the company was welcomed at B612, an iconic building for innovation in Toulouse and a real catalyst for national and international partnerships. This strategic support enabled it to save time and establish its European development in the best possible conditions.

A successful and promising establishment

Today, H3 Dynamics has around 20 employees in its Aerospace Lab located in downtown Toulouse, at At Home Médéric. The company plans to reach around 30 employees by the end of 2024.

Very active within the MAELE ecosystem supported by Aerospace Valley, it is developing a solid network of partners and suppliers specialising in aviation decarbonisation. This establishment further strengthens Toulouse’s position as the world capital of innovative aeronautics.
