Infinite Orbits

Toulouse space technology serving life in orbit

Founded in Singapore, the start-up Infinite Orbits develops innovative solutions to extend the life of satellites. By setting up its European headquarters in Toulouse, it is continuing the city’s tradition of excellence in the space sector, while promoting a forward-thinking vision of in-orbit services.

A pioneering start-up

Infinite Orbits offers a range of innovative services:

  • Extending the life of satellites through in-orbit maintenance missions.
  • Inspecting satellites using on-board cameras capable of navigating and analysing their condition.
  • Ultimately, actively maintaining geostationary satellites in orbit through complex docking operations.

The company is positioning itself as a key player in the smallsat market serving geostationary satellites.

Why Toulouse?

In 2020, Infinite Orbits is looking to develop a European base for its technical and industrial activities. Several locations are being considered, including the United Kingdom. Toulouse ultimately stands out thanks to:

  • The density of the space ecosystem and its proximity to CNES.
  • The opportunity to recruit talent from a globally recognised pool.
  • An international appeal that attracts foreign experts.

Support from Toulouse Team – Invest

Since July 2020, Toulouse Team – Invest has been facilitating Infinite Orbits’ integration into the local ecosystem:

  • Strategic connections with ONERA, IRT Saint-Exupéry, Club Galaxie, COMAT and Hemeria.
  • Referrals to funding programmes such as BPI, Nubbo, SpaceTicket and ESA BIC.
  • Welcome to the Nubbo incubator in 2021.
  • Support in finding premises, with a location at At Home in 2022.

Rapid growth in Toulouse

In 2024, Infinite Orbits has 35 employees of multiple nationalities working in its own offices in the heart of Toulouse. The company has achieved several major milestones in recent years: in May 2023, it carried out the first launch of a smallsat into geostationary orbit; in May 2024, it raised €12 million to consolidate its global position; and in 2025, it won a strategic contract with the DGA. Highly involved in international events, the company is helping to strengthen Toulouse’s image as a key platform for space activities.
