Toulouse propels the new generation of space engines

Based in Toulouse since 2022, Barcelona-based company Pangea Aerospace develops reusable and environmentally friendly space propulsion solutions. Drawing on the Toulouse ecosystem, it is establishing itself as a key player in the new era of European launchers.

A response to the challenges of space travel

Pangea Aerospace specialises in the design of reusable engines powered by non-toxic fuels. Its flagship technology is a 3D-printed aerospike engine that combines performance, competitiveness and sustainability.

This positioning meets the needs of the launch vehicle industry, which is seeking greener and more economical solutions.

Why Toulouse?

Founded in Barcelona, the company took an early interest in the French and European launch ecosystem. In 2021, its participation in the SpaceFounders programme (funded by the University of Munich, CNES and the Italian Space Agency) led it to discover Toulouse’s assets in depth. Several decisive factors influenced their choice:

A growing presence

Aujourd’hui, Pangea Aerospace compte près de 30 collaborateurs dans ses bureaux de Toulouse Aerospace. L’entreprise poursuit sa croissance et multiplie les mises en valeur, notamment avec la production d’une vidéo de la série Podium et sa participation à des événements institutionnels, ainsi que sa mise en lumière via le programme Choose Toulouse en 2025.

Today, Pangea Aerospace has nearly 30 employees at its Toulouse Aerospace offices. The company continues to grow and increase its visibility, notably with the production of a video for the Podium series, its participation in institutional events, and its spotlighting through the Choose Toulouse programme in 2025.
