Illumo Robotics is developing autonomous robot technology for the automation of logistics warehouses. After considering Barcelona, the company ultimately chose Toulouse as the location for its operations, attracted by the quality of life and the richness of the local industrial and technological ecosystem.

Robotics at the service of logistics

Illumo Robotics designs a robotic picking solution based on AI, computer vision and advanced robotics. Its robots can handle a wide variety of products weighing less than 7 kg, adapting in real time to the needs of logistics operators.
The proposed model, based on Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS), provides customers with operational flexibility and a rapid return on investment.

Support from Toulouse Team – Invest

The location team played a decisive role by organising several visits to discover the ecosystem and by mobilising its soft landing service:

• Support in finding premises on the Montaudran campus.
• Connections with major industrial accounts and academic partners.
• Support in structuring and financing the initial stages.

Growing recognition

After raising significant seed funding, Illumo Robotics has multiplied its pilot projects and gained media visibility. In 2024, the company signed a major contract with an international e-commerce player to automate its warehouses.

The company is now preparing a Series A round in 2025 to accelerate its international expansion.
