TBI – Toulouse Biotechnology Institute

TBI embodies scientific excellence in the service of the bioeconomy. Upstream of academic research, the institute structures its expertise around key areas such as: enzyme engineering and molecular catalysis, microbial physiology and metabolism, microbial engineering, and sustainable chemical engineering. Thanks to its cutting-edge platforms, TBI transforms innovative ideas into robust proofs of concept, providing manufacturers with the scientific foundations necessary for the development of competitive bioprocesses.

From proof of concept to industrial demonstration in the laboratory

TWB – Toulouse White Biotechnology

TWB plays a unique catalytic role. This technology demonstrator aims to support, secure and accelerate the transition from idea to market, with technology platforms, integrated scientific expertise (strain engineering, process development, techno-economic studies) and a community of more than 400 scientists and industrial partners. TWB is the link between academic research and product development, ensuring the laboratory scale-up of innovations.

CRITT Bio-Industries

CRITT Bio-Industries is the key partner for the industrialisation of bioprocesses: liquid and solid fermentation control (from 10L to 300L), downstream purification processes, scale-up and pre-industrial validation, batch production and generation of the process book ready for industrial transfer. CRITT enables innovations from research to move to the pre-industrial stage in a secure manner and in compliance with market requirements.
