Francazal Mobility Park

A forward-looking ecosystem

In January 2020, Toulouse Métropole acquired the southern part of Francazal Air Base 101.

A laboratory hub and full-scale test village are being built on 38 strategically located hectares. The aim is to provide companies and laboratories with the ideal environment for designing, testing and deploying innovative mobility solutions.
The site already hosts pioneering players such as:

• Easymile, the world leader in driverless autonomous shuttles,
• Aura Aero, a Toulouse-based start-up developing the first 100% electric aerobatic aircraft.

Planned developments include test tracks for connected autonomous vehicles, as well as areas dedicated to robotics, drones and flying vehicles.

The Hydrogen Technocampus: a European showcase

At the heart of Francazal Mobility Park, the Occitanie Hydrogen Technocampus embodies the ambition of the Region and Toulouse Métropole:

• €45 million in public and private investment,
• a hybrid model combining academic and industrial laboratories,
• a unifying approach supported by Europe, the French government, the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region and Toulouse Métropole.

• Academic research and development,
• Collaborative R&D between companies and laboratories,
• Training of skilled talent in hydrogen technologies.
• With its building permit and ICPE authorisation approved, construction is now underway. This campus will play a key role in strengthening Occitanie’s international appeal in terms of energy innovation and sustainable mobility.
